A satellite developed by a domestic university will be launched into space on June 28th from a Russian space center.
Hankuk Aviation University on Thursday said it recently developed the education satellite Hannuri I that will go into orbit 510 kilometers above ground.
The launch will be the first done independently by a satellite developed by a South Korean university.
Though the size of a micro-satellite system, the Hannuri I will perform functions such as data transmission from its solar sensor and cell and send signals on its location to the ground.
The university is also working on the 25-kilogram satellite Hannuri II. |
